Sorry for Taking Your Flowers

An admiration of the little things that bring us joy.
This collection was really a collaboration with my little girl, Lola. Each day during the first year of the pandemic, we would go and wander around our neighborhood admiring all the beautiful flowers and lush plants our neighbors have in their backyards. I allowed her to pick her favorite flower of the day and we pressed them when we got home. Soon, our house was full of beautiful flowers and I couldn’t help but start to draw them. Picking flowers and spending time admiring the beauty around us quickly became the highlight of our day. Soon enough, leaves, textures and shapes joined the flowers and became part of the collection. That is how “Sorry I took your flowers” was born.
